Dr. Sripriya Amma

Born into a family anchored in discipline, humility and reverence, Mathaji Dr. Sripriya was destined for a life of divine purpose. Her parents both noble educators who retired as Headmaster and Headmistress nurtured her in a home where wisdom was revered, service was a way of life, and devotion formed the fabric of daily living. Surrounded by two loving siblings and a strong foundation of values, young Sripriya grew up in an atmosphere that silently prepared her for her sacred calling.

Early Glimpses of the Divine Spark

Even in her tender years, Sripriya radiated signs of a soul connected to higher planes. Her mother recalls moments when the child would enter deep trances, speak spontaneously of future homa-pooja and express mystical insights with startling clarity. These were not mere coincidences—they were whispers from the divine, revealing her inner sanctum of spiritual wisdom.
At the age of five, she was introduced to Balavikas, a program that wove spiritual stories, rituals and bhajans into the hearts of children. The tales of Lord Krishna and Lord Rama stirred something deep within her. Her soul resonated especially with the leelas of Lord Krishna and she began to immerse herself in the path of Krishna Bhakti, aspiring to embody the pure devotion of Radha.

  • Sai Meera Aunty her Balavikas teacher, became a loving guide who nurtured her spiritual sensitivity.
  • Late Ranganna Uncle took her each Sunday for Nagara Sankeerthana, teaching her the joy of devotional service.
  • Late Sharadamma Aunty and Smt. Shyamala Aunty uplifted her spirit and assured her of her sacred destiny.
  • Avadhoota Sri Govinda Giri Baba blessed Mataji Dr. Sripriya with Kundalini Diksha in 2000. A divine initiation that became a pivotal milestone in her spiritual journey, awakening inner energies and deepening her sadhana.

Awakening the Divine Within

As she matured, Sripriya delved into energy healing, spiritual sadhanas and mystical practices. She awakened the rare gifts of clairaudience and clairvoyance, effortlessly accessing divine messages meant for the upliftment of others.

Under the tender guidance of Murali Anna, she began performing the sacred Lalitha Devi Pooja, experiencing the Divine Mother not as a concept, but as an indwelling, living presence. These sacred rituals were not merely acts of devotion—they were profound communions with the Supreme Shakti.

In a transformative moment of grace, she received diksha (spiritual initiation) directly from Amma Adiparashakti, who bestowed upon her the divine name Sripriya. In 2007, she officially embraced this sacred identity, stepping fully into her soul’s mission.
